A study was undertaken to investigate the reduction of toxic shock syndrome toxin 1 (TSST-1) with specific nickel-chelating agents. The TSST-1 concentration was reduced to 10 ng/ml with 100 microM DTPA, 50 microM DTPA, or 10 microM TPEN. After a 30-min reduction, none of these concentrations of chelators had any effect on the hemolytic activity of TSST-1. Kinetic analysis of the chelator-induced removal of TSST-1 from solution indicated that the rate constant for the reduction was reduced by a factor of 10(3) when each chelator was used at the 100-microM concentration. We conclude that nickel-chelating agents can be used to reduce the concentration of TSST-1 to 10 ng/ml and that kinetic studies of the reduction can be used to elucidate the mechanism of reduced toxin levels.Q:

I was trying to solve

I solved it by using substitution $x=t^3$ but I am quite sure that’s the right approach.
If I have to solve it without substitution, then I got stuck at $$\int \frac{1}{t+\sqrt[3]{t^2}+\sqrt[3]{t^4}}dt$$
I am totally clueless at this point.
